Jentry Graduates from Preschool!!!
Jentry made it through preschool...Yeah!! However, she didn't really participate in the graduation ceremony. We were running a little late and when we got there, a lot of the kids were already up on the stage. She got nervous and wanted to sit by Elizabeth. But, that's not where she was supposed to sit. She wouldn't sit in her own chair, so Kyler had to say her part for her and everything. After it was all done (she wouldn't even help sing their cute little songs.), I finally got her to at least sit next to Mrs. Suzie for a picture. What a little TURD!!!!! Needless-to-say, Mommy and Daddy weren't very happy about the whole ordeal :(
Brooklin's 2nd Birthday!!!
On May 9th we went down to LaVerkin to Aunt Patti and Uncle Sid's house for Brooklin's 2nd birthday party. We had a great time visiting with Patti, Sid, Linsey, Frank, Brooklin, Alicia, Cydnie, Cammie, Aunt Chelle, Uncle Gary, Aarica, Weston, Mason, and Connor. Linsey and Frank had rented a bounce house for all the kids (some of Linsey's friends were also there with their kids). Brooklin is getting so big...I can't believe how fast they grow!! They had BBQed and then we enjoyed darling cupcakes. Linsey is such a cute little mommy!! (She also just had a little boy about a week ago!)

Baseball, Baseball, Baseball!!
This May was crazy with three different ball teams to follow! Dallen played minor league, Sierra played coach pitch and Jentry played t-ball. Three different practice schedules and three different game schedules, WOW!! I helped Sierra's team a little with a couple practices and games and tried to help Jentry's coach out with practices and games when I could. It was a great season for all of them and I think they learned a lot. Dallen did end up playing even though he was a little nervous. I think they all had fun, but I'm sorta glad it's over and we can relax a bit.

Field Trips!
Well, this year, I was able to go on Jentry's and Sierra's field trips. Jentry's class went to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. They got to see cats, a parrot, bunnies and dogs. Jentry was lucky enough to get to pet the parrot while we were taking a snack break (animal cookies). After the tour of the sanctuary, we went up to Angel's Landing and ate lunch. We had a really fun time! Mrs. Suzie is so creative and they always have so much fun!!
Then, a couple weeks later, I went with Sierra's class to the Paunsagant Wildlife Museum up near Bryce Canyon. I was in charge of this group of three (Sierra, Kenley, and Robert). After we toured the awesome museum, and saw thousands of animals and butterflies, we headed down to Red Canyon, where we ate lunch at the visitor center and went on the Red Rim Trail. What a great day!! I'm so lucky to be able to go with the kids, (last year I was able to go with Dallen's class to Bryce Canyon). I know I won't always be able to go with them and help out in their classes, so I'm greatful for the opportunity I have to do so now!!!

My Birthday!!
We had a great time on my birthday! Jeff's fam and Mandi & girls came with us and we went out past Lamb Springs to some petroglyphs that we had never been to. It was so cool!! I got some cool pics and we all had a great time. Kelly was MIA as he was stranded in California waiting for a load. Bevan was also MIA. It was a little cold that day and we didn't think we wanted to ride the quads in the cold, so Grandpa Dar let us take his other Jeep. Kristi and Mesia went with G & G Lamb, Jeff & I had our kids and Mandi had her girls in her Blazer. (The girls built a hut before we left.) It was a great day!!

Catching Up!!
Wow! Time has flown by. We had a wonderful Easter weekend. On Saturday, we all went down to Aunt Patti and Uncle Sid's and had a BBQ and Easter egg hunt. The kids all had a blast. Chelle and Gary and kids were there too. Mom has some good pics on her blog. On Sunday, we went with Jeff's family to Sugar Knoll and Red Cave. I had never been there before (even though it is only 8 miles away)!! We had a lot of fun and Uncle Bev was a great tour guide! He even helped the kids make an AWESOME egg-rolling hill (it even had a tunnel)!!

Otter Creek!!
The first week of April we went to Otter Creek and went fishing for the first time this year. It was a little chilly - you can see the snow in the background - but we had a great time. Grammy & Pappo, Buddy & Tami & Kids, and Jessie & Mike all went with us. Jeff is such a good sport. He spends most of his time fixing, untangling, and baiting the kids' hooks. He doesn't get a whole lot of fishing in, but I know the kids love it. (And I appreciate his patience!!) Jentry wanted to pet a worm and Luke stood by watching. We all had a great time!! In fact, a week later, Dad and Mom wanted to go up again, so I took the kids and Jessie & Mike met us and we went again. We left Jeff home working :( I really did feel bad, but we did have a little better luck that time. Mike and Dad caught a couple!!
Fun Times at Kanab Fort!
Wow!! We've had a busy month and a half! The end of March we took a day trip out to the Kanab Fort. I guess I have been here - when I was five!! We thought it would be cool to take the kids out and let them see it before you can't get out there anymore. Dad, Mom, Mandi, Rylie and Saige came with. Jolene Waters and her two sons and niece also came with. The kids all had fun finding all sorts of treasures - which we left there. (Don't need anymore "treasures" at our house.) They also had fun burying each other when we stopped to cook a hot dog. It was just nice to finally be able to get out and enjoy the warm weather!!

Four Wheelin' With the Lambs at Lamb Springs!
We recently went four-wheelin' with Grandpa Dar & Grandma Lamb. Kelly & Mesia came along and we headed out by Lamb Springs. We were going to go to the petroglyphs, but we were all too lazy to hike down to the one's we went to, so we went out a little further and went down this creek bed to look down into Water Canyon. Uncle Kelly kept a close hold on Jentry so she could see the bottom.

We all had a great time even though it started getting cold!! First quad ride of the year!!! Yeah!
Headin' back up the canyon - Jeff giving Dallen a little help up a steep rock and Grandpa Dar giving Grandma a heart attack.
Mesia & Jeff and Dallen making their way up out of the wash after shuffling quads to help Dallen get up a couple steep parts.
Kelly & Sisi following close behind. Jentry was with me bringing up the rear with the Jeep.
We all had a great time even though it started getting cold!! First quad ride of the year!!! Yeah!
Birthdays at the Millett Homestead!!
On March 14th we went over to Parowan for Baylee and Beau's birthday party. The kids had so much fun playing!! (We really don't get together often enough.) Buddy saddled up a couple of their horses and the kids all took turns riding and having a great time!! Luke sat and had little talks with Pappo and Uncle Jeff. He is such a cutie! Saige ran right through a big mud hole and was very upset about it! Dallen seemed a little nervous up there on that big animal. Sierra liked it pretty well. But Jentry was the one who absolutely LOVED it!!! (They rode horses one day at preschool and at first she didn't even want to give it a try. I finally convinced her to let me put her on and walk beside her. After that, she wouldn't let anyone else have a turn!!) She had a blast at Buddy and Tami's and even wanted to run. So, Buddy and I tried running the horse around and finally Tami got out there in her nice sandals and ran them. They had a great day. It was very nice to get together with everyone!! Thanks Tami - you and Buddy are the BEST host/hostess!!! (Great sloppy joes and salads!!)
Bathroom Re-Do!!
Well, it's been awhile since I posted, but wanted to get a couple pictures on of my updated bathroom. We have had these bright daisy digs for a few years now, but I felt like it was time for a change. Besides, I really needed to scrub mildew spots off the ceiling and walls (embarrassing, I know) with bleach and fix some spots where the paint was peeling. I got to work on the scrubbing and scraped and re-spackled some, and then painted (first with two coats of KILZ then two coats of Brazilian Tan-or-something). This process took several days with letting spackle dry, then KILZ dry, then the paint dry. But in the end it was worth it!! I was also going to paint the vanity cupboard, but got lazy and decided I didn't want anything darker than what we already had. I just put some new, updated handles on the doors and it looks alright.

And this is what it looks like now. I love the tan color and it almost matches the orange bathtub and sink - but not quite as orange. I saw this "hearts and stars" shower curtain in ABC back in July and also the valance a while later and decided that I wanted to have it for my bathroom. Of course, I do love red!! I got dark red rugs and the brown towels look really nice. I also found a cute star in ABC and hung it above the toilet. I didn't have anything up there before, and it has a red and off-white checked piece of cloth wrapped around it in a bow, so it matches great!! I am very excited to be enjoying my bathroom now. It is a little darker in there now, but it also feels a lot more cozy than the stark white walls before. I love it!!!
